Inside Line Promotions – MEEKER, Okla. (June 5, 2018) – Seth Bergman earned his fifth feature victory of the season last Friday during his debut at Red Dirt Raceway.

The triumph was his second this year during ASCS Red River Region action, which is tied atop the win’s chart.

Bergman powered from fifth to win a heat race, which made him the high-points driver. He advanced into the feature redraw and pulled the No. 2 to start the A Main on the outside of the front row.

Bergman ran second for the first handful of laps before taking the lead on Lap 5. He pulled away en route to his second straight victory and third trip to Victory Lane in his last six starts.

“We’ve had speed all season and have been able to capitalize on good redraws,” he said. “We put ourselves in a great position by our heat race performance and then had a strong redraw. I was able to contend for the lead the first few laps before taking over the top spot. It’s great to have back-to-back wins leading into Speedweek.”

Bergman will use that momentum as he aims for his first career Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour presented by SawBlade.com Speedweek title. This year’s Speedweek features six races in nine days across Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas.

“Speedweek is a huge test for everyone,” Bergman said. “If you have a great week it’s a fun time and if you struggle it can be a frustrating week. The great thing is that it’s easy to get into a rhythm, which can sometimes be hard to do when you only race once or twice each week.”

The Speedweek opener is this Friday at West Texas Speedway in Lubbock, Texas. Round 2 is Saturday at Route 66 Motor Speedway in Amarillo, Texas, before a couple of days off.

Bergman, who enters Speedweek tied atop the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour championship standings, has finished in the top 10 in the Speedweek standings during each of the last six years. His best Speedweek result was third in 2014.

Bergman has one career Speedweek feature victory, which came in 2014.
