Inside Line Promotions – CALHAN, Colo. (Oct. 11, 2017) – Seth Bergman is hungry for a Short Track Nationals title.

Bergman has been aiming for a victory at I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Ark., which hosts the 30th annual COMP Cams Short Track Nationals presented by Hoosier Tires with the ASCS Mid-South Region this Thursday through Saturday, for several years.

“Short Track Nationals is one of the biggest events of the year in sprint car racing and it’d be awesome to have our name on the winner’s list,” he said. “We try to win every race we compete in and that won’t be any different this weekend. If we want to be in contention for the win on Saturday night we will need to put ourselves in striking distance throughout the weekend by moving forward every time we hit the track.”

Bergman finished third at the quarter-mile oval last month during his lone race this season.

He is coming off his 40th top-10 finish of the season, which he earned last Saturday at El Paso County Raceway during the Colorado ASCS Fall Nationals.

Bergman opened the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour race by advancing from third to second place in a heat race. He made the feature redraw, but pulled the highest number – eight – to start the main event on the outside of the fourth row.

Bergman advanced a couple of positions on the tricky track to place sixth. He remains sixth in the championship standings.

The opening round of last weekend’s doubleheader was rained out on Friday.
