Inside Line Promotions – SHAWNEE, Okla. (June 7, 2017) – Seth Bergman is primed for a busy month of traveling and racing, which begins with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour’s Sizzlin’ Summer Speedweek this weekend.

The event, which features seven races in nine nights throughout Texas, Oklahoma and Missouri, kicks off this Friday at West Texas Raceway in Lubbock, Texas.

“We haven’t been there, but I don’t think many people have,” Bergman said. “It will be important to start Speedweek with some momentum and having a strong performance at West Texas Raceway will be key.”

The action shifts to Route 66 Motor Speedway in Amarillo, Texas, on Saturday. Bergman charged from 22nd to 10th to earn the Hard Charger Award for passing the most cars in the main event during his debut at the track last season.

“We got behind in our heat race, but made a lot of progress in the main event so hopefully we can start this Saturday with the type of race car we ended with the last time we were there,” he said.

Teams will then have two days off before five consecutive nights of racing next week – June 13 at Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas; June 14 at Lawton Speedway in Lawton, Okla.; June 15 at Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, Okla.; June 16 at Randolph County Raceway in Moberly, Mo.; and June 17 at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Mo.

“We’ve run well at all of those tracks so we have confidence that we can contend for wins each night out,” he said. “We’re also in a battle for the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour championship and stringing together top fives each night during Speedweek would go a long way toward setting us up for a run at the title.”
