Inside Line Promotions – LAWTON, Okla. (May 22, 2017) – Seth Bergman posted his sixth top-five finish of the season last Saturday at Lawton Speedway during an ASCS Red River Region event.

Bergman opened the night by charging from fifth to win a heat race. That made him the high points driver and earned a spot in the feature redraw. Unfortunately, Bergman pulled the highest number – eight – to start the main event on the outside of the fourth row.

“We did what we needed to do in the heat race by moving forward and winning,” he said. “We had a really strong car and we had a good car in the main event, too. It’s just hard to start that far back when there’s a few other national drivers there starting in front of you.”

Bergman maneuvered from eighth to fourth place in the main event, giving him back-to-back fourth-place finishes and three top fives in his last four races.

The team will take that momentum into a Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour doubleheader in Colorado this weekend. Bergman will make his debut in the state on Saturday at El Paso County Raceway in Calhan before competing on Sunday at Phillips County Raceway in Holyoke.

“We always enjoy going to new tracks and having the opportunity to build our fan base,” he said. “The goal is to start off strong each night by moving forward in the heat race to make the feature redraw and then hopefully we can draw a good number to start near the front of each main event.”

Bergman enters this weekend ranked sixth in the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour championship standings. However, he is only 70 points out of second place.
