Inside Line Promotions – AMARILLO, Texas (June 14, 2016) – Seth Bergman rebounded from a sour start to the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour’s 24th annual Sizzlin’ Summer Speedweek.
Bergman endured a DNF in a heat race last Saturday at Route 66 Motor Speedway, which relegated him toward the back of the main event. However, he powered from 22nd to post a 10th-place result.
“We were buried in the feature lineup after the heat race, but we were able to salvage a decent finish,” he said. “It was a tough way to start Speedweek. The positive is that we overcame the heat race and rallied for a top 10.”
Bergman, who ranks eighth in the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour championship standings, garnered the Hard Charger Award for passing the most cars in the main event.
He will take that momentum into the remainder of the Speedweek, which features races on Wednesday at Lawton Speedway in Lawton, Okla.; Thursday at Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, Okla.; Friday at Missouri State Fair Speedway in Sedalia, Mo.; and Saturday at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Mo.
Tuesday’s event at Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas, has been rained out.
Bergman has registered at least one top-five finish at all four upcoming tracks, including a win at Creek County Speedway and a runner-up result at Missouri State Fair Speedway this season.
