Inside Line Promotions – DODGE CITY, Kan. (July 2, 2014) – Seth Bergman is playing the waiting game right now.

Bergman hurt his backup engine at the Steve King Memorial last Saturday at Dodge City Raceway Park during the ASCS Sooner Region and NCRA co-sanctioned event.

“I’m not sure if we are going to be able to race this weekend because I’m waiting to get our engines back,” he said.

Bergman was on a tear prior to the mechanical issue. He led his entire heat race for his eighth heat victory of the season. That lined him up on the inside of the second row for the main event.

“It took me a few laps and I got into second,” he said. “I was racing the leader the whole time. The track was really heavy and one lane, so it was hard to do much. I was doing everything I could do. I got underneath him a couple of times. I thought I was going to make something happen.”

Unfortunately, an engine problem arose with approximately 10 laps remaining and Bergman ended with an 18th-place result.

“I was good all night,” he said. “I was fast. I had a really good chance to win.”
