Inside Line Promotions – LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (April 14, 2014) – Seth Bergman is looking forward to a pair of ASCS Sooner Region races this weekend.
Bergman will make his debut at West Siloam Speedway in West Siloam Springs, Okla., this Friday before heading to Springfield Raceway in Springfield, Mo., for a race that is co-sanctioned with the ASCS Warrior Region.
Although Friday will be his first time at West Siloam Speedway, Bergman won a B Main and charged to a seventh-place finish at Springfield Raceway last season during his inaugural visit.
“I’m excited to compete at West Siloam Speedway for the first time and to return to Springfield Raceway,” he said. “Hopefully we can have a couple of good runs and race for two wins.”
Bergman is coming off a frustrating performance at I-30 Speedway last Saturday with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour.
“It wasn’t a great night,” he said. “I just wasn’t stellar all night.”
Bergman survived a tire issue and finished where he started – third – in his heat race.
“I had a flat right rear in the heat race,” he said. “It was a problem with one of the bleeders. I ran on three pounds of air the whole race.”
That sent him to a B Main, which he placed second in to transfer to the back of the main event.
“I wasn’t good enough to go driving by those guys in the main event to get in the top 10,” he said. “It was just one of those nights you don’t like having. We’ll just forget about it and move on to this weekend.”
Bergman ended with a 16th-place result.
“Looking back on it now you say to yourself this is what I would have done, but hindsight is always perfect,” he said. “We weren’t far off. I just think a few changes would have given me the opportunity to pass more cars.”
